About the course
Outcomes Monitoring is a vital issue for all SP Service Providers. This practical course will attempt to provide an overview of the process within the context of Supporting People and the wider Government agenda. It will look at ways in which organisations can develop an outcomes approach in order to fulfil their obligations.

- Exploring the different outcomes for Service users, Service providers, Supporting People Administering Authorities and Dept. Communities and Local Government

- Including monitoring systems as part of day to day work

Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course participants will:
- have an understanding of what outcomes are
- gain an overview of the different perspectives/levels of outcomes
- be able to identify outcomes and to develop an understanding of the links between outcomes and aims
- understand the importance of monitoring outcomes
- have an understanding of the issues/barriers around monitoring outcomes for Service Users and Providers

Jo has a great deal of experience, as an employee as well as a service manager. She has worked, for the past 18 years, in social work, community work and the supported housing arena and has worked for national organisations, small, local voluntary agencies and Local Authorities. Her experience covers a variety of services as well as a broad range of client groups, including young homeless people, people with mental health needs, people with drug and alcohol problems, older people and refugees/asylum seekers. |
