About the course

What are the five secrets of positive thinking that allow you to maintain a Positive Mental Attitude, particularly when you are faced with difficult situations? You will have the opportunity to practice the positive mental tools that enable you to create empowering attitudes in yourself and with others.

This course will reveal fundamental building blocks that allow you to change limiting beliefs and so increase the choices you have available to you. Discover how to make your mind work for you instead of against you.

This course is essential for those wishing to attend the later Advanced Positive Thinking Course

  5. Empathy and increased understanding

By the end of the course, participants will:-

  • Be able to manage internal states more effectively and positively.
  • Be aware of how self -criticism destroys self-esteem and strategies to change this.
  • Understand and harness the power of language.
  • Be able to change focus.
  • Have an increased understanding and empathy toward others.

Course methods.

Reflection-in-action will be a key element.  The course will be interactive and participatory with course participants bringing live issues to each session; these will be used as a framework upon which to hook learning.  This course is experiential and will improve wellbeing.

It is suitable for staff at all levels.

About the Trainer:

Nik Rabbani-Barker has designed, delivered and evaluated over one hundred training courses in the field of emotional and mental health; ranging from one-day courses to twenty-four week courses.

She was formerly a Mental Health Homeless Support Worker supporting vulnerable people to live independently in their own accommodation and develop strategies to effectively manage their mental health conditions.

She went on to design Mindmechanics training courses, which aim to identify fear-distorted perception and show how to move beyond it to improve health, prosperity and productivity.
